FYS: Technology for Language Revitalization

This course focuses on the role of technology in language revitalization, exploring both its benefits and downsides. We will discuss the importance of linguistic diversity and the socio-political factors that lead to language loss.

We will learn how communities are working to revitalize their languages through a variety of means. We will discuss both the benefits and drawbacks of technological approaches to language revitalization.
